Our Story
Built in Tahoe. Made for the Descent.
DSCND was started by two friends who spent the last ten years chasing pow, riding bikes, and living the California mountain lifestyle.
We first met in 2016 while working in action sports marketing. One of us grew up on the East Coast in Providence, Rhode Island and the other in the small mountain town of Wrightwood, California.
Over the years our careers continued to cross paths. We worked together again at Sugar Bowl Resort before each taking our own road through the outdoor industry. We helped build brands, manage events, launch products, tell stories, and work alongside athletes and communities who share the same passion for the outdoors.
We came from different backgrounds, but shared the same passions. Skiing. Snowboarding. Mountain Biking. Getting lost in the woods. Long days outside followed by sharing clips and talking shit and planning the next one. The Sierra's offer such a massive playground, there is always more to explore, we've bagged quite a few peaks together over the years.

Through it all, we always talked about starting something on our own company. We knew we had the backgrounds and passion to make it happen, just making that leap and investment was overwhelming.
So here we are. DSCND was born in Truckee, California, inspired by the lake and mountains we call home. Its 100% funded and operated by the two of us. It's something we can both stand behind, knowing we've made every decision behind the product, brand, messaging, and athletes that represent us. No one else approving a design or questioning a invoice. Its just us leading with our gut and doing what with think is rad. Supporting fellow athletes and partners who are making a impact in their community.

The name DSCND represents so much to us. That feeling of greasing a big mountain line. Ripping turns down your local mountain with your core group of friends. That feeling of hours of planning, traveling, hiking, couch surfing, all to just get on the hill to do what you love. The weightless feeling of leaning one over in untracked pow. That uncertainty of saying screw it and moving to the mountains to chase a dream.
For us, its always been about the descent.
See you out there.
